12.11.2008, CRM roll-out of Baxter Germany completedBaxter Germany has successfully completed the nationwide roll-out of its salesforce.com-based pharmaceutical CRM-solution. More than 270 employees from 8 different business units have been working with the new solution since October 2008.
The new Baxter pharmaceutical CRM focuses on sales controlling of the field service for hospitals and medical practices. The solution has been developed in close cooperation between ClientHouse and the Baxter CRM-team.
Prior to the roll-out a pilot program with selected field managers from all over Germany was accomplished in order to prove the suitability of the system. All major system requirements had been extensively tried and tested:
- A common salesforce.com pharmaceutical CRM database for all business units
- The administration of pharmaceutical customers with i.e. complex, hierarchical hospitals, medical practices and pharmacies
- Business unit specific product ranges and area structures
- An activity management for the field sales representatives to plan on a weekly basis
- The implementation of a mobile solution with the RIM Blackberry for the field sales
- The utilization of the Force.com Platform to synchronize with external data service providers (Cegedim) and with the Baxter Datawarehouse (Cognos)
The roll-out started in January 2008 after the pilot was completed successfully in December 2007. Due to the involvement of the pilot users the system could be extended to a new business unit on average every month.
